Course Content

A practical study of stretching theories and methods used to increase flexibility. Special attention will be paid to using flexibility as a tool to injury prevention and healing .  Learn to tune into your body with the power of deep breathing and stretching. Come join this class to improve your flexibility and confidence in your breath.  Layers of clothing and water are recommended.


P/NP grading will be based on missing no more than 3 classes.  Three absences or less is a pass.  Four absences or more is a no pass.

In addition, technical and tactical skill development is assessed and supported throughout the quarter.

Safety Notification

There are risks and dangers inherent in participating and/or receiving instruction in a PHE 1 Activity course. Injury resulting from participation is always a possibility in physical activity. Please carefully follow the guidelines provided by your instructor and adhere to any rules established by the instructor. Please notify your instructor immediately if you become ill or injured, or feel that you shouldn’t participate on a given day.


Unless otherwise expressly indicated by the student, the assumption is that the student is in good health and is capable of participating in all facets of the physical activity related to this class.
